A Word to the Wise

10-12-2017 –  A Word to the Wise: In whatever position of authority we find ourselves, whether it is small or great, we must realize that it is a sacred charge before God and we must give an account for how we use it. This should be a fearful thought, for most of us exercise some authority, somewhere, sometime. I believe that the real answer to the mass rebellion to authority derives from the unfaithful manner in which those possessing it exercise it.

The first attribute necessary for proper use of authority is humility. Authority is a power which either God or man, entrusts in an individual. In fulfilling this trust, one, in some manner, assumes responsibility regarding others. Proper use demands a judicious use of the power granted. Reverence for authority is reverence for God because the Word of God says all authority is ordained of God.

However, we are not a people that can easily comprehend the concept of authority. We do not live under a strict disciplinary government. On a whole, we are unaccustomed to heavy discipline on our jobs or in our homes. Thus, when God’s authority confronts us we have little in our backgrounds, which help us in comprehending its significance. We have difficulty comprehending the price we pay for resistance and rebellion.

Satan twists the whole concept of obedience and submission. It is important to recognize Satan as one who refuses to obey God. For it is Satan who with blatant arrogance demands that men give him what he refuses to give to God. Note also the difference in Satan’s use of authority and God’s. The Lord encourages obedience by reward. Satan on the other hand demands rebellion against God and obedience to himself. Obedience to the Lord is a positive trait worthy of reward, which God gives. Disobedience has no reward just consequences.

Misguided use of authority causes rebellion.

9-27-2017 – A Word to the Wise: When the gift is used for others we experience joy and fulfillment. When the gifts are used to enhance self, or enrich self, then one observes the hollowness and emptiness of a life without the Son.

9-26-2017 – A Word to the Wise: As we look at the gifts, convinced of there working within us then seeing we believe. It also explains why there are a whole list of negative attributes coexisting with the gifts.

9-23-2017 – A Word to the Wise: Now truly we have come full circle. The Motivational gifts provide the framework. The additional talents abilities traits given us provide the incentive for accomplishment, and therein we see the full purpose. All of these attributes are inborn in us by the Living God, that we might believe in Him, trust in the only begotten of the Father, and have life in the Son.

9-22-2017 – A Word to the Wise: These gifts, like the Motivational gifts tend to pull the person in a direction, with an intense desire.

9-20-2017 – A Word to the Wise: Into this framework the Lord adds additional gifts beginning in the womb and at other times in life based on the principle of stewardship and need. Each of these additional gifts, whether natural ability, aptitude, talent, or skill is limited only by the determination of the person.

A Word to the Wise: Within that framework one develops character traits which effect the usability of the gift. The degree, or lack of intelligence does not determine the value of the gift. Only the perseverance, training, and developed skill determines its value. All qualities are determined by the individual irrespective of status or station in life.

9-18-2017 – A Word to the Wise: So we have the Motivational Gift given at conceptions which are the chief attributes which are inherent in the gift. The framework determines the degree of sensitivity to mental, physical, and emotional, situations, and how one views each of these circumstances, and finally responds to each.

9-16-2017 – A Word to the Wise: Again, discovering these new talents, abilities, or skills in the womb may be just as apparent when sought after as the Motivational Gifts.

9-15-2017 – A Word to the Wise: First, Bezalel is given the ability, intelligence, and knowledge to design and work in gold, silver, and bronze. Bezalel is an Organizer, able to see the finished product and at the same time organize a great work with the additional gift the Lord grants him.
