1-25-2018 – A Word to the Wise: Moreover, on this occasion the effect was stunning. Because of the position of the sun and moon, the blood red effect would have been intense. 1-23-2018 – A Word to the Wise: What happened? At 6:21 pm through 7:11 pm the moon was in full eclipse over the city of Jerusalem. Just like we are now able to predict when a Lunar eclipse is to occur and even determine if the moon will be red or not, we can also now go back in time and “see” the lunar moon in full eclipse rising.

1-22-2018 – A Word to the Wise: The Day Jesus Died – The Blood Red Moon – The long day was not over. For at 6:21 pm a crowning event occurred that had been foretold some 230 years before by the prophet Joel. “Joel 2 Revised Standard Version (RSV) 28 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. 29 Even upon the menservants and maidservants in those days, I will pour out my spirit. 30 “And I will give portents in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes.

1-20-2018 – A Word to the Wise: These events, the Darkened Sun, the Curtain of the Temple, the Earthquake, most certainly convinced the Roman centurion that what he was experiencing had something to do with the person hanging on a cross in front of him.

1-19-2018 – A Word to the Wise: The Day Jesus Died – The Earthquake -Now, at the ninth hour the third environmental event occurs, a tremendous earthquake. Recent studies reveal that it would appear that a tremendous earthquake had occurred, centered around Jerusalem. Steven Austin addresses the evidence for this earthquake and places it in 33 A.D. 1-18-2018 – A Word to the Wise: The common people of the time understood that the earth had for all practical purpose been turned upside down and they could not understand how that occurred. Now its image, which was viewed by every Jew of the time, was completely torn in half. How could this be?

1-17-2018 – A Word to the Wise: Our attention is drawn to the part detailing the image of the universe. This is interesting. If my facts are correct Hyginus a 1st Century writer discovered by a close examination of 2000-year-old Babylonian star charts that Tarsus and Aries had exchanged places. The sun was rising in Tarsus 2000 years before and setting in Aries. In Hyginus time the sun was rising in Aries and setting in Tarsus. What kind of God could do this? Mark twice says that God ripped the sky apart first at Jesus baptism and then at His death.

1-16-2018  – A Word to the Wise: The Day Jesus Died – The Curtain of the Temple – Josephus describes the Temple curtain in this manner: “before these doors there was a veil of equal largeness with the doors. It was a Babylonian curtain, embroidered with blue, and fine linen, and scarlet, and purple, and of a contexture that was truly wonderful. Nor was this mixture of colors without its mystical interpretation, but was a kind of image of the universe; for by the scarlet there seemed to be enigmatically signified fire, by the fine flax the earth, by the blue the air, and by the purple the sea; two of them having their colors the foundation of this resemblance; but the fine flax and the purple have their own origin for that foundation, the earth producing the one, and the sea the other. This curtain had also embroidered upon it all that was mystical in the heavens, excepting that of the [twelve] signs, representing living creatures. “(Wars 5.5.4).

1-15-2018 – A Word to the Wise: We know that when there is a total eclipse of the sun there is a temperature drop of fifteen to twenty degrees over a three-minute period of time. Three hours would have meant a temperature drop of at least twenty degrees and maybe as high as forty degrees. The average temperature for Jerusalem this time of year is about seventy degrees on average. For the three hours Jesus was on the cross it was anywhere from thirty to fifty degrees. This means it was from cool to almost freezing cold for a naked man on a cross.

1-13-2018 – A Word to the Wise: Let’s look at the sequence of the events which occurred. Darkened Sun – First, from the 6th to the 9th hour the sun was darkened over the whole land (Mt. 27:45, Mk. 15:33, Luke 23:44). Now most of the time this is passed over. We do not know how it could have happened. We can be assured that it was not just a cloud covering. Exodus 10:22 relates that there were 3 days of total darkness in a restricted area of Egypt. Here we have 3 hours. What do you suppose was the result of the darkness?
