1-24-2024 – A Word to the Wise – Our values are mixed up.

Woe to one who can see no more sense in his life—no aim—no purpose in life and therefore no point in carrying on. What needs to be learned is: not what do I expect of life—but what life expects of me. I need to stop asking the meaning of life—and to see self as one being questioned by life—daily hourly.

Life means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to life’s problems and to fulfill the tasks set before me.

There is always just one right answer to the problem at hand. Most often those answers may be discovered in prayer and God’s word. These two tools the Lord has left for us: his spirit and his word.
