Qualifications

Dr. Jerry Stettheimer, Director of Christian Family Services Ministries, has been in private practice for twenty-two years. Dr. Stettheimer has authored numerous articles and conducted seminars and workshops. His specialties include family counseling, marital and premarital counseling, and individual counseling.

He is a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and is certified by the Texas Board of Marriage and Family Therapists. He earned a Doctorate in Ministry in the field of Counseling from Harding Graduate School.

Private Practice, 1986-Present:
Specific activities of his practice include:

• Crisis intervention with patients and families
• Group therapy
• Training in relaxation, assertiveness, and stress management

Treatment specialties include chemical abuse, family violence, incest, orphans, divorce, premarital and family counseling.

Substance Abuse Unit, Terrell State Hospital, 1975-1986:
Responsible for provision of aftercare services to clients and their families. Supervision of after-care personnel. Crisis intervention with families, disposition and referral to community resources. Member of interdisciplinary treatment team.
